
Brian has been with NCE since March of 2009. Since joining the team, Brian has been responsible for a number of marine related tasks including airborne noise and vibration predictions, finite element analysis, STC materials testing, 6 Degree of Freedom (DOF) calculations, dockside and underway field testing, builder's and acceptance trials, and ABS certification testing. Brian has worked on offshore supply vessels, military vessels, research vessels, ferries, fire boats, and commercial shipping vessels. Brian has also participated in many industrial noise projects including cell tower noise surveys, residential noise surveys, locomotive horn testing and certification, and environmental impact studies. Prior to his work at NCE, Brian attended Purdue University where he earned a B.S. in Acoustical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering. Brian has previous experience in sound reinforcement system design and optimization, transducer testing, and microphone test equipment development. He is a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineers (INCE) and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME).
