Engineering Solutions to Acoustic Problems
Eric joined Noise Control Engineering in June 2011 soon after completing his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His concentration was in structural dynamics. He completed his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
During his time as a graduate student at UMass Lowell, Eric worked as a research assistant in the Structural Dynamics and Acoustics Systems Laboratory and was involved with many projects that included modal impact and shaker testing, finite element model correlation and structural dynamic modification. As part of his Master's Thesis, Eric made significant contributions towards the development of a "smart parachute" system for the United States Army and gained valuable experience in smart materials testing, data acquisition systems and signal processing techniques.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys playing music, photographing landscapes and architecture, and traveling.
