Noise Control Engineering Inc. (NCE) is pleased to be a Prime Contractor for the SEAPORT-E program. NCE is a small business and qualified for Zone 1 tasks.
Noise Control Engineering, Inc. has been extensively involved with the prediction and control of underwater radiated, sonar self-noise and habitability noise and vibration on a large variety of naval and research vessels. Our company engineers have
- developed and verified habitability and underwater radiated noise modeling techniques
- established and implemented noise and vibration control program Plans and carried out these Plans for all types of vessels
- exploited novel and optimal noise/vibration control approaches
- directed shipboard diagnostic tests to determine primary sources and transmission paths for habitability and underwater radiated noise
- performed static and dynamic structural vibration analyses of foundations and whole ships
- conducted measurements for demonstration of compliance with habitability and underwater signature criteria
Our area of specialty includes design, development, and noise control engineering to solve habitability or radiated noise problems on combatants, naval auxiliary vessels, acoustic research vessels, fisheries research vessels, small high-speed craft, work boats, ice breakers, naval surface ships, submersibles, off-shore structures, and other conventional and non-conventional vessels.

NCD SEAPORT-E Quality Assurance
NCE maintains and updates a Quality Assurance Program Plan. This plan identifies the quality assurance processes and detailed procedures that are performed by NCE when implementing engineering and noise and vibration control services, including procedures for the documentation, review, and control of financial expenditures, to ensure that accurate, comprehensive technical deliverable are submitted in compliance with the statement of work, scheduled delivery dates, and funding limits identified in the contract or purchase order.
